1. Data controller

2. Information we collect
We collect the email address you register with and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text). We keep records of your orders and the proxy credentials assigned to you, along with order and billing metadata such as the products you purchased, amounts, currency, subscription and invoice identifiers, and renewal dates. We maintain a ledger of your wallet top-ups, balance, and spending. To protect your account and the Service, we also log the IP address and basic device and browser information associated with sign-ins and orders.
3. How we use your information and legal bases
We use your information to operate the Service: to authenticate you, provision and renew your proxies, process payments and wallet balances, detect and prevent fraud or abuse, and provide support. Under the GDPR, we rely on the performance of our contract with you (to provide and bill the Service), our legitimate interest (to secure the Service and prevent abuse), compliance with legal obligations (such as retaining invoices for tax purposes), and your consent (for optional analytics, where enabled). We do not sell your personal data.
4. Cookies
IPSurfer uses first-party cookies only. A session cookie keeps you signed in; a language cookie remembers your language preference; a referral cookie attributes a referral so the correct partner is credited; and a consent cookie records your cookie preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Payment processing
Card payments are handled by Stripe and crypto payments by NOWPayments. Your card data is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to its privacy policy; card details are handled solely by Stripe and IPSurfer never sees or stores your full card number. For crypto payments, NOWPayments processes the transaction and any wallet address you provide for affiliate payouts.
6. Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Service and share only the data each one needs: Stripe (card payments and subscriptions), NOWPayments (crypto payments and payouts), Resend (transactional email such as verification codes, receipts, and provisioning notifications), our upstream ISP proxy provider (the details required to provision and renew your proxies), and our hosting and database infrastructure providers. Where these providers are located outside the European Economic Area, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Data retention
We retain account, order, and wallet records for as long as your account is active and as required to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Security logs, such as IP and device information, are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
Proxy credentials are encrypted at rest. Passwords are hashed. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these, email support@ipsurfer.com from the address associated with your account; we will act on your request except where we are legally required to retain certain records, such as invoices kept for tax purposes. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
